Photo Shoot

This was my attempt at a home photo shoot, I think they turned out somewhat okay, except for a bit of a shadow. It was difficult keeping him happy and still enough. These are the best out of 12. I can't believe he will be 10 months next week. SO BIG! (the secret - a sheet over the bumbo)

Bumps, Bruises and Flowers

Dilyn has had so many bumps and bruises while trying to walk. Two weeks ago he fell and hit a table with his lip - he got a fat lip. Then he jumped off the couch last week and fell on his face - he has a nice big scratch on his nose. He is such a dare devil and doesn't even consider edges and depth. He just walks right off. These are two of many instances he has had and I am sure there are more to come. I feel like a horrible mom for not catching him all the time.

Also here are pictures of a wedding we attended for one of Kyle's friends, Justin and Allison.

Get a gander at poor Dilyn's nose - ouch.

Don't be fooled, he looks happy in this picture but he was screaming earlier when he got that fat lip. (look close)

Park days

Dilyn could stay at the park for hours, especially on the swings. If I take him off he will walk over and want back on. I love to go to parks with the soft terf stuff so he can crawl around wherever he pleases, otherwise it's a mouthful of bark. Dilyn is such a character and he always trys to show off for his cousins. He also loves to grab anything he can (like the camera, below).

Dilyn and cousin Eric both on my lap.
Going down the slide with mom.

In love with the swings and having a blast.

Enjoyed standing in this bug for 15 minutes until I finally pulled him out (could have been longer).

He's CRAWLING!

Dilyn turned 9 months on March 1st, and that was the day he crawled for the first time.
Dilyn doesn't like to crawl that often though since he wants to walk more, however he can crawl far when he wants to (especially to get to me). Dilyn also took his first steps this week. He turned from the entertainment center and walked to me sitting in the middle of the floor. I was completely shocked! What was it, like 5 steps. He is probably going to be walking before I know it.
So this weekend we baby proofed the house. What did we do:
1. Moved the desk into the living room so the computer can go up high (not on the coffee table)
2. Putting latches on all of the cupboards.
3. Moved his crib down.
4. Outlet covers
5. Double looped the cords to the blinds.
6. Said bye to the tall standing lamps (he tries to pull them over)
7. No more books or magazines on the side table. (he ripped the ensign - bad luck :)

What else? Anyone else know what I am missing? Still in the process.

Well enjoy some pictures of Dilyn and my birthday on Feb. 25. (Wow I am old)

Dilyn loves to watch our new beta fish - Dash.

Dilyn's Many Faces

Dilyn is so expressive and social. He loves to babble, scream, make funny faces, and dance. I caught a few of his faces on camera, so enjoy:
I am still trying to catch his dance on video. It's hilarious and he made the family behind us at church crack up in the middle of someone's talk. oops, lots of distractions! He jiggles his head back and forth and moves his body like a snake.

Also my aunt and grandma came to visit - Dilyn's great-grandma - from Utah. They loved this early warm weather and wanted to stay longer.

Phew, it's over.

I never knew that I could feel so anxious and scared at the same time. Dilyn had a surgery today, and I had to hand him over for 1 1/2 hours. He was already crying because I couldn't feed him for five hours before the operation. So being hungry and tired he cried for 1/2 hour waiting to be put to sleep. Which translates into me crying too. We had to get there at 6 am and his surgery started at 7:30. Talk about a stress buildup. What surgery you ask, well its called hypo-spadia. Basically he needed some straightening of the urine flow downstairs, if you know what I mean. Everything went well and Dilyn is home sleeping a lot. Other than the medications and the two diaper deal it is not too rough on me. He is slowly getting back to himself. In a few days, he will probably be fine.
I don't think I have ever waited in a state of panic and distress for that long - Yea, it's over.

Dilyn at 8 months

Dilyn watching his first show - San Diego Zoo
He loved it for about 15 minutes, then he was done.
Dilyn and his friend Trevor- it's fun to watch them because they don't know how to play together they just grab eachother's toys.

Kyle and Dilyn ready for church.

Eight months and still growing!

Dilyn loves to stand next to a table or dresser and play up high.
(Yea, his hair looks like it is on fire, but it is really the lamp above him :)

King for the Day

A day at the park. Dilyn loves the swings and playing with mom and dad.
